This unit is the most general and will consider 3 basic topics. The first is wine and health—both the negative and positive aspects of wine, and more generally alcohol, on our health. Emphasis is given on how to communicate this message to others in order to protect our own health and to fulfill our obligations of social responsibility as wine producers to warn others of the possible danges of alcohol.
The next area covered is buying at auction and creating the right conditions for cellaring and storing wine. Finally, we consider some formal qualifications available to those who wish to continue their wine education, in English, in a more formal setting.
